The Gallardo was manufactured from 2003 to 2013 and is Lamborghinis best-selling model with 14,022 being built throughout its lifetime. The first-generation Gallardo came with a 4961cc, even fire V10 engine and offered two choices of transmission, a conventional six-speed manual transmission and an advanced six-speed, electro hydraulically controlled, semi-automatic, which Lamborghini abbreviates to 'E-Gear'. Lamborghini announced the release of the Gallardo Superleggera, a lightweight and more powerful version of the Gallardo. With carbon fibre used extensively inside and out to reduce weight making it the lightest road-going Lamborghini in the range. The 5.0 litre even fire V10 received a power increase over the standard Gallardo to 562hp. Performance has been improved to 0-62 in 3.2 seconds, and 204mph top speed. The Superleggera is often compared with the Ferrari 430 Scud, values of which are in excess of £180,000 for similarly aged and mileage cars. See this review of the Superleggera on YouTube - https://youtu.be/gJDQmmIPY2E?si=ZGvum4Aj0nKUtUDA and why he thinks this car is a great buy. Research is unclear but it is thought that less than 360 were produced, with 172 delivered to the US leaving the resto of the world to share 178… very few will be RHD examples with only 13 found on howmanyleft.co.uk.
This Gallardo Superleggera is presented in Nero Noctis with Alcantara Interior. A UK supplied four owner example. ULEZ compliant, this example was specified with Carbon Fibre Rear Wing, Rear Engine Cover, Rear Diffuser, Mirrors, Side Skirts and Undertrays, further lightweight glass can be found on a Superleggera including a Polycarbonate rear window and thinner front glass. Carbon ceramic brakes can be found under the forged allow wheels refinished in gloss black. Importantly a front nose lift mode can be accessed in the cabin. The seats are Carbon Fibre Alcantara bucket examples and further carbon can be found on door cars, centre console and gauge cluster, hand brake, steering wheel and door sill panels. In 2014, damage to the driver’s door resulted in an expensive repair (£17,000 of parts alone) for which the insurance company declared uneconomical thus this example is currently placed on the category D register, there is an inspection report for the damage and repairs for any interested party to satisfy that the damage was repaired correctly. A comprehensive service history boasts both Lamborghini and Specialist agents, treated to a new clutch circa 4,500 miles ago it is currently only showing just 16% worn and recently new front pads and an oil change has been completed. A collectable example of the lightweight Gallardo, with other ‘even fire’ V10 cars including the Lexus LFA and Porsche Carrera GT – this is in with the best sounding cars ever!
