The 1960 Bedford J3 Truck is a classic British light commercial vehicle known for its simple engineering and dependable performance. Popular with trades and delivery fleets, it featured a practical cab-forward design and sturdy chassis. Today, surviving examples are appreciated for their vintage charm and nostalgic connection to post-war transport.
Originally registered in 1960, this green Bedford J3 Truck has been with the same family since new. It was restored in 1990, a process which involved galvanising the chassis and fitting new wings, front bumper and a new wooden dropside body, followed by a full respray. DfT test certificates show that it was on the road in the 1990s, but it has been stored in a barn since 1998. It is presented with spare keys, a 1969 plating certificate regarding the vehicle's weights, and the V5 registration document which indicates only one change of keeper in 2013, when it passed from A.
